Roman Fracassi

Roman is continuing in the family profession of landscaping. His grandparents were farmers in their native Italy, and his father runs a lawn maintenance business in Toronto. Roman developed his passion for the outdoors as a young child, learning from his parents and grandparents. He is a graduate of Humber College's landscape technician program and is now furthering his practical education in perennial gardening with Kiva Gardens.

When not working, Roman enjoys the challenge of propagating unusual plants from seeds he finds. He also collects seedlings and cuttings and can often be found riding the subway after work with a backpack full of plants.

Roman teams up with Bohdan in gardens, and he has taken on the challenge of helping Bohdan improve his English. Through this process Roman has managed to pick up quite a bit of Ukrainian, and the two of them have mixed English, Ukrainian and botanical Latin into a new dialect they hope are trying to teach to the rest of the Kiva gardeners.
